Your privacy is important to us.
This app ProdScanner is developed by ProdScanner.

1. Information Collection

Our app allows users to scan barcodes, add product details (such as name, purchase price, and sale price), and record product transactions.
All product and transaction data are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to any external server.

When you send a CSV report, the app simply opens your default email app with the file attached.
The email content and recipient are fully under your control — the app itself does not collect or store any email addresses or messages.

We also use Firebase Crashlytics (by Google) to collect anonymous crash and error data.
This includes device type, OS version, and app state at the time of the crash, and is used solely for debugging and stability improvements.

2. Data Usage

The collected and generated data are used only for:

  • Managing your product list and transaction history locally.
  • Displaying and printing barcodes or PDF reports.
  • Creating CSV reports for manual sharing via email.
  • Analyzing anonymous crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics).

Your data is never used for advertising, analytics, or third-party marketing.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal, product, or transaction data with anyone.
All information stays on your device.

The only exception is the anonymous technical data sent automatically to Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) to help identify bugs and improve app performance.
This data does not contain any personal or product-related information.

When you send a CSV report, it is shared only through your chosen email app, and the app has no access to your contacts or messages.

4. User Rights

Since all your product and transaction data are stored locally, you have full control over them.
You can:

  • Add, edit, or delete your products and transactions directly.
  • Remove all data permanently by uninstalling the app.

Because the app does not collect or store personal data, there is no need to request data deletion or correction from the developer.

5. Permissions

The app requests the following permissions to function properly:

  • Camera (android.permission.CAMERA) — used only to scan barcodes.
  • Internet (android.permission.INTERNET) & Network State (android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) — used to connect to Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting.
  • Bind Print Service (android.permission.BIND_PRINT_SERVICE) — required to enable custom document printing (PDF barcode printing).
  • Bluetooth (android.permission.BLUETOOTH, android.permission.BLUETOOTH_ADMIN, android.permission.BLUETOOTH_CONNECT) — used only to connect to Bluetooth printers.

All permissions are used solely for app functionality and never for data collection or tracking.
